| Can I use 5¼” External Drive Bays to house HDs? |
| We do not recommend this. In order to minimize the noise created by CDs and DVDs when they are running in “hovercraft” mode the front door closes onto the external drive bay, sealing it completely.
This means there is little airflow, and a HD might be insufficiently cooled unless the Drive Caddie was designed to use air from inside the case for cooling. |
